Default 04 pacifica with no electricity to headlights

I see that there is a recall on 05 models for the headlights but yet to see one for 04. I don't know what to do. I don't have anymore warrenty on my vehicle and afraid this is gonna cost me an arm and a leg. I took it to a family friend mechanic and he told me that there was no electricity going to the headlights. All the other lights work though and he even checked all the fuses and none of them were bad. Any suggestions on the cheapest way I can go about getting this problem solved. I bought the car from Drivetime and was wondering if I should take it to a Chrysler dealership? Shouldn't this be a safety recall as well? Please help I can't afford to have electrical problems too. Just had to replace all 4 engine mounts and still have to change rotors and brakes.

Could be the headlight switch, the Body Control Module or the Intergrated Power Module. The headlight switch sends signals to the BCM which in turn signals the IPM to turn on the headlights.
Do your turn signals work?

Im having this issue with the passenger side headlight, I checked with a multi meter and its only reading 6v, the driver's side is working fine so far but I do want to check the voltage on the working side my guess is that it should read the 12v ???

the easy way to fix this is to add a relay and run a cable from the battery and use the existing cable as the ON signal on the relay.

anybody else run into this issue ?? I guess there's a recall on the 05's but nothing yet on the 04's

not advisable to add more voltage to a pulse with modulated controlled system like that it will for sure nuke more then what is already wrong.
