05 Pacifica door Module problem?
Hi,
I have an 05 Pac, with power seats(both sides)...power locks/windows(passenger side only), intermittently not working.....
My vehicle was built on 9/11/2004, and a service mgr. locally gave me a TSB that refers toreplacing a door module and door handle (electrostatic discharge problem) on drivers' side.
anyone with a similar experience? If I disconnect the battery, and reconnect it seems to bring back the power seat controls, sometimes the power windows, but not the locks.
any other thoughts...could it be covered by warranty, somehow because of a "known" problem? If not, I might get a module and replace it myself if there is a good description somewhere on taking off the interior door panel to get at the module.
ps I also have a check engine light and GASCAP indicator coming on....replaced the cap, and had the car smoke tested, etc, at a dealer to find no leaks.
could somehow these be related to the above???
thanks,
Terry

i have 2005 pacifica also....power seats have stopped working...but windows...and locks work....i will try to disconnect battery to see if that brings anything back to life...thanks for the idea!!
I have a 2005 Pacifica but thankfully the seats & doors haven't had any problem. This weekend I had the 'gascap' light come on for no reason. I stopped the car (left it on) & reseated the gascap & continued driving. The light stayed on under I completely shutdown the car & then it stayed off.
Thanks for the tip, I'll keep an eye on it.
