06 Pacifica accelerating on its own
My wife's Pacifica has intermittently started accelerating on its own as she's driving. We took it to a mechanic. $650 later, the problem is still there. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it sounds like the engine is going to blow up and she has to control the speed of the car with the brake alone. No gas pedal needed. Its dangerous.
We called the Chrysler dealer in town to see if they could help. The girl sounded like she knew about the issue but kept telling us to just bring the car in. We finally got her to say she thinks she remembers it being a problem with "a switch". But of course she couldn't remember which one.
I would love to hear any thoughts about this. Thanks!
