We have battery juice. When I turn the key over no dash lights come on but the dings. The key then spins freely. We took the key part of the ignition into a lock smith but it's not the problem. So it has to be in the staring column???????? Has anyone had this issue and if so please help. My car is my work. Without my car we don't work. Please help us

 

take off the ignition switch use a screw driver turn it see if you start up if so then yes in the column

 

We did the screw driver thing but it wouldn't bypass the anti theft system. It is in the shop now and after 300+$ it will be fixed. I'm so frustrated. NO matter what car we have it breaks. We got it to turn over by arcking the starter but it still wouldn't bypass the anti theft

 

who said anything about bypassing the anti theft u want to see if the ign switch or something in the column was the issue. you could have easily put the key in the cyl then the anitheft would not have been an issue.

 

I did put the key in it but it wouldn't do anything.

 

not fallowing what I was saying/ Remove teh switch put key in teh ign key cyl use screw driver turn ign switch to start teh car the skim module only looks for the key when its in teh ign ket cyl.
