2004 Engine Swap?

2004 Engine Swap?
I have an 04 3.5l with a blown engine, and I have the oppertunity to buy an 05 3.5l that was hit in the rear. I have looked around and everything I can find says that the 04 motor was specific to an 04. What would have to be done to put an 05 engine in an 04? What was the difference?
