3.5l timing belt videos or pics or instructions?
Are there any videos or pics or instructions on how to do this?
Or maybe if anyone has the model of the engine I can search for that also?
I've read posts here where people have stated that they downloaded instructions from "alldata". Why not post them here?
Why not post any timing belt pics or videos?
Am I going to have to be the first one to do it because I will
I actually usually just buy European cars, not only because they don't rust and fall apart as fast, but also the forums for European cars are highly technical with lots of info, pics and videos.
On saabcentral guys have schematics for every electrical component on every Saab ever made. Here you don't even have a good write-up, video or pics of how to do the timing belt. There was one youtube video years ago when I checked, but now it's gone.
I guess family cars don't have many enthusiasts.
My Nissan Quest was like this too.

Thanks, I would have been lost without this video.
And I will still be lost probably.
Doing a timing belt between the frame and the engine does not look like fun.
I thought the Audi V-6 timing belt, in the front was bad, because you have to take the bumper and radiator and lights off, but that is actually doable for some one like me.
I might just get part way through this one and give up do to those tight spaces.
But on the other hand it might be easier because I don't have to take as much off, I think.

Thanks for the help everybody.
What is the best timing belt kit to get?
I'm going to buy CRP or should I get Gates or something else?
Or not buy a kit, just separate Brands/parts?
Also should I change the hydraulic tensioner?

Buy a kit, should be cheaper. Also while you are there, might as well change the tensioner. I got DNJ ENGINE COMPONENTS Part # TBK1150AWP from RockAuto. Came with pretty much everything. Also, if you are ordering a kit fom RockAuto make sure of your year. Mines is a '05, built in '04. Well, lone behold i needed parts from a '04, because for '05 and up, the pump changes shape. So base yourself on construction year.

Which smooth sided pulley has the larger 47mm diameter pulley, is it upper or lower?
Almost all the pulleys I find have the smaller 40 mm diameter bearing.
I could also replace just the bearing if I knew where to get it.

I think it was an aftermarket pulley.
I could be wrong. The original pulley which is good is 40 mm diameter.
I think it's 47 mm diameter because it is a replacement, but I'm not sure the original wasn't 47 mm.
Where can I get the torque specs for reassembly? Especially the water pump.
