Default 2006 Pacifica whining noise after wheel bearing replacement

Hello,

I have a 2006 Pacifica. I thought the wheel bearing was going out so I replaced it. However, after the replacement it is still making the same whining noise that it was making before. What could it be? HELP?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

"I thought the wheel bearing was going out so I replaced it."

"the" wheel bearing? Does your Pacifica have only one wheel bearing?

A whine that increases with speed and does not exist at standstill could very well be a wheel bearing. It could also be a transmission/differential problem. It could be something rubbing on a tire.

You might want to have a friend lean out the windows as you drive to see if you can localize the noise to one side/ front or rear.

If you can drive by a wall or even a tall curb with the windows open you might be able to tell which side it's on.

I isolated the noise to the driver side. Which is why I replaced that wheel bearing.

Daniel Craig,

Was the noise issue resolved with the bearing replacement?

There's a wheel bearing at the rear wheel also. But you knew that.
