Default Adding Auto headlights

Greetings and salutations,
I own an 07 Pacifica Touring Signature edition. Overall, Im very happy with this car. The Signature edition offered a good compromise of options between the Touring and Limited versions. However, I would have liked to see them add Auto headlights to this package. My question is what would be involved in adding them myself? Is it just a matter of buying the new turn indicator multiswitch? Is there a light sensor that mounts somewhere, like GM on the dash? If so, where? Any general idea of cost to retrofit? Is this even worth my time ?

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to only need a switch and a sensor. I thought the harness would be the same, but If I have to change that too, its definitely a deal breaker.

Not to mention the Body Controller has to be programmed (from the start) to run the timer on them...not feasable.

Default Otis857 it is very simple

It was for me...
Its been a couple of months but if you are still in the market to add auto headlights to your Pacifica, here is some pointers.
I have a 2005 Touring Signiture and have added this option to mine.

If you have an auto dim rearview mirror than all you need is the switch...
If not than continue reading

FIRST - Check right above you rearview mirror at the headliner and if you see a slot cut out of your headliner (enough to proably stick your pinky finger in) than continue to step two. If not than it is going to require a new harness.

SECOND - You have to purchase the Auto dimming rearview mirror (the auto light sensor is on that mirror). Than you have to remove the overhead console... Neatly tucked away under the console is the wiring harness for the auto rear view mirror. Its just a plug and play. You just plug that wire into the mirror and your set.

THIRD - You have to purchase the multi switch (the switch that turns the headlights on) with auto dim.

FOURTH - Install

I know you said you have a 2007 but from what I have read it should be the same. I can give you the part numbers I ordered but I am only about 75% sure that the part number will be the same.
