Buying a 2005?

RE: Buying a 2005?
I have a 2005 AWD Touring. Loaded except for the DVD screen and navigation. We love it and it has been good to us. Does it have the extended warranty from Chrysler? Would you be buying it through a Chrysler dealer? If so, you can purchase an extended warranty through them if it hasn't been done on the vehicle already. I would do this for sure since some things can go wrong. I had to have the ABS sensors changed already. I purchased an up-grade to the warranty which raised the bumper to bumper warranty to 7/70. We now have 26,000 mile on her and it's a great car.
Be careful of those aftermarket warranties they can be tricky and have large deductibles. I may be wrong but if the car isn't being sold through the dealer you may still be able to up grade the warranty through the Chrysler website for cheaper than the dealer.

RE: Buying a 2005?
I have a 2005 pacifica that I just bought. Warranty for 50 dollar deductible from dealer was 1500 dollars. Bought it via the net at Champion Chrysler in Illinois for 1000 dollar. Quite a savings. Same warranty - the Chrysler warranty. My car was still under warranty when I bought it. Within week of expiration. Haven't had a chance to use it now, but would have opted for the 0 dollar dedectible on hindsight. My electric seats on both sides and heat for seats just went out. Checked fuse to no avail.. Chrysler said to bring it in.. could be wiring or module. Will have to submit it to warranty to see if it is a warranty item. Now, I will see how good the warranty is and see the loop holes if there are any.
