Default Can I tow my 'Vette with my Pacifica?

I have an '04 Pacifica AWD, and I'm considering towing my '01 Corvette from Pennsylvania to Florida on a U-Haul rental trailer. The car weighs about 3,100 lbs., and the dry weight of the trailer is 2,200 lbs. I know the towing capacity of the Pacifica is only 3,500 lbs., but don't know if there is much wiggle room with that number. Think the Pac is up to the task? The trailer will have surge brakes, so I don't think braking would be an issue. Thanks.

Does the rental have trailer brakes? Is it a fairly flat drive? What will the temps be? Your kind of pushing it so this is why I am asking these questions. Is a tow dolly out of the question?

Default Pretty straightforward tow

Yes, the trailer does have its own surge brakes. The drive is virtually flat, from outside of Phila., straight down I-95/I-75. I'll be leaving in mid-Oct., so the temps. should be in the range of 65-85 degrees all the way. I've towed small, enclosed trailers on this route with the Pac. a few times in the past, and have experienced no problems. Of course, this tow would be much heavier. Thanks for asking.
