Default Changed timing belt.

Just got the vehicle back from the mechanic. Had the timing belt, water pump, and the tensioner replaced. made it home on highway and getting off at the exit the check engine light came back on and is now blinking. I also noticed that it is now idleing very hard. I already feel that I have been taken for a ride. what could be going on.

I'm assuming this work was not done by Chrysler service? I would have had a mechanic other than Chrysler do it also to save $ but it seems like something wasn't done correctly. Perhaps, ChryslerTec or another experienced member can help you out. Good Luck and Happy Holidays.

Without reading the computer codes, it's impossible to say for sure why the light is on. When it blinks it's usually a problem with your catalytic converter or a misfire in the engine. Misfires are most commonly caused by faulty spark plugs, park plug wires, or ignition coils. I'm just throwing suggestions out there, I'm not saying for sure that your car has all those problems. What year Pacifica? How many miles? Is the problem still persisting, or was it just for a short time? Give as many details as you can and more people will be able to potentially help you out.
