'04 Pacifica with the code P0401 indication. Plugged it in at auto zone. Car has 49,000 miles on it and was wanting to know if this would be covered under warranty. I saw that you e-mail some sort of sheet to another person witht he question. If that is need could you please do so. Vin: 4r349439 (last 8). Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Do I need the warranty sheet you were discussing ealier? I called my Local Chrysler Dealer and they informed me that EGR valve is NOT covered. I am confused on why they would tell me its not. Thanks for you help.

I thought of something else. The dealer keeps telling me this is not covered and I was wanting to know where I could find information on the extended EGR valve warranty, or if you could e-mail it to me. karjmw@yahoo.com is the e-mail and thanks again. Sorry to keep asking questions but i just feel like i am getting the run around from the local chrsyler dealer.

Hi Moderator:
I have a similar issue with my 2001 PT Cruiser. Following the engine light being on, I followed directions to get the engine code. The code is P0401. Reading your forum, I am assuming it is the ERG Valve.
Before I take it to the dealership, I wanted to know if my warrantee would cover it. I purchased the car in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and moved to Tampa FL. I have just under 100K miles, 158,000 KM.
The Last 8 digits of my VIN #1T572901.
Thanks
