Default Does anyone know what this does?

I had my engine mounts replaced on my 2008 Pacifica and the mechanic found this part (see attached pics) and said it wasn't attached to anything but had a metal plate in between it and he had no idea what it is. I took it to Autozone and they didn't either. I am assuming I need a new one because the bushing is worn out and there is some kind of gear in it?? Car drives fine without it so I am at a loss. It was down near the rear motor mount.

Thanks!

That is part of a vibration damper used on the motor. There are a few threads on the Pacifica page here relating to it. In my book, unless a "purist" in maint. and originality...not a big deal.

Thanks so much. I was thinking it couldn’t be critical because it drives fine now that I replaced the bad motor mounts.
