GPS Accuracy
Just purchased an 04 Pacifica, and every once in awhile the nav system has problems with my location. The GPS arrow puts me 1-10 miles away from where I really am. After 25 miles or so it seems to correct itself. I originally thought it was only when the back was loaded but it has done this with nothing in the back. Anybody have any ideas why it gets so far off? (I'm not in a metro area, no bridges, buildings etc)
Also anyway to turn off the annoying voice saying"Turn by turn directions are not available in this area" ? Turning the voice off all together is not an option.
Thanks!
Ben

I heard that there is a software upgrade which includes updated maps etc. that you can load through the DVD player. Since I don't have the navagation system on mine I not sure of the version but I'm sure that with some more research you'll be able to find out.
PB, thanks for the reply:
I justupdated to the latest nav DVD (http://www.navtech.com/chryslergroup) last night. From my understanding that's just a map, so not sure why my signal would be off. If it was a map issue, I would think it would be off everytime I pass through that spot, which is not the case.
I haven't had the issue with the new DVD, but it will take a few days before I know.
I appreciate any help/and or advice.
Thanks
