Ok, thanks for keeping me up to date on how things work.. it's the engineer in me I guess. I'll report back when the repair is complete.

Got the car back yesterday. The heated seats seem to work better, I will have to let my wife be the judge, but I had to turn them to low after 15 minutes. They replaced the module with 5082046AG , checked the connector, and flashed the module (TSB 08-012-06). They have different numbers or arrange them differently?? They claimed this would work for my mirror memory problem too but it did not. I read the schemaitcs and it looks like the mirrors are controlled (memory too) by the Driver door and Passenger door modules. It willl have to go back for the mirrors.

the mirrors are controled by the door modules yes but not the memory part no. The HSM sends a signal over the bus to the door modules and the door modules then make the mirrors move as such programed.

So you are saying the memory portion is handled by the HSM for the mirrors? If you set the mirrors for each person, then recall one position and it only moves half the distance, then recall it again and does not move at all, which part is at fault?? This is how my mirrors work.. since day one for the past 3 years. They perform the same way since the HSM was changed. The driver mirror was changed early on and this did not do anything either. The tech is suggesting replacing both mirrors again but it appears they don't get a signal long enough because they stop short?

Are you sure about this?? At looking at the Service Manual, page 8E-6, it makes it sound like the door module handles the mirror memory. page 8E-12 desribes the HSM and controlling the heated seats, seat memory seat and pedals only.Am Ireading this wrong?? Even the TSB mentions nothing of the mirrors 08-012-06. maybe the wording is confusing in the manual. I don't want to say you are wrong because you do this for a living, it just read different to me.

Thanks

lets see thats given not giveing and later not not latter i know i have some typos myself but gee why do kids haft to make trouble i guess trying to get a rise out of people is fun or something. U joined what less then 48 hours ago if u spent all the time doing nothing but reading all 831 posts then I would say u dont have much of a life. But like a human I went back and looked at the functions of the Driver door module and saw that yes infact the DDM is the hub for the mirror memory and busses out the info to the PDM and to the HSM for storage for the info. So with that said see if the dealer will replace the DDM for the memory mirror issue sence the heated seats are taken care of thus far.

Hey Chryslertech.. can't you ban this person if they are flamming you since you are moderator? I checked that person out to and saw he was bashing you on various threads in about a 10 minute window.

As for the car, I will take it back to the dealer and let them mess with it. I just want to educate myself so I understand what they are doing. They told me I had 12 months or 12k miles if they did not fix it the other day.

Take it easy and thanks for all your help.

Since I am now out of warranty this module now failed completely, except for get this the mirrors will move but not to full postion. We always had the mirror issue and gave up on them ever repairing it. Now the seat are frozen in place with the passenger almost fully reclined. My son reclined when we were in Home Depot. Would you venture to say what this repair could cost or since we took the vehicle in so many times for the mirrors that Chrysler might repair for free.
04 Pacifica had extended warranty to 75000 and now has 88,000

This is our only complaint about the car. Wish they still made them. Doesn't make since that everyone copied this car and and then it was no longer made.
