Looking for opinions on window vents...

I would like some opinions about Pacifica window vents. I've been shopping around but before I buy anything I want to know what is the best. Also, has anyone noticed any wind noise associated with these. Thanks...

Without question ........... get the Weathertech vents from their website.

Best engineering yields the best fit. No adhesive involved and they fit inside the frame versus being glued around the window frame.

I've put them on three vehicles so far and would buy more without any doubt.

I had AVS (Auto Vent Shade) in channel on my 07 pacifica and they did not work due to the auto up feature on the car. When the glass touched the visors it felt the resistance and opened back up again. So I went with the regular tape on style and they are good. No wind noise. they look good.

Hey Sarg have you had this problem with your Pac's AU feature?

SARG 05-03-2009 11:13 AM

To a very small degree. Sometimes the glass will touch the shade and will reverse but I just re-hit the button and they close.

If the situation was constant I would alter / change the programming on the auto up feature before I'd use the glue on shades.

The engineering is quite different on the Weathertech from others I've seen and the edges which are inserted into the channel are very thin i.e. perhaps as small as .020 on the edges.

I just ordered the Weathertech set for my 06. I don't have the AU feature, so I won't be abe to comment about it. I will post my opinion when I get them. They are a bit expensive.

Sounds good Sarg. I went to their site and they refer to this problem. The PDF says to raise the window using the switch in the non-AU position, and then leaving them closed for at least 12 hours. I assume that this "stretches" the factory weatherstrip just enough to meet the AU's resistance parameters. But...it sounds like yours have been on for a while... in any case it wouldn't bother me enough either.
