loud brake noise

Question loud brake noise

04 pacifica , im getting a creeking and cracking noise when i put the brakes on and can feel it though the brake pedal alittle. when you push harder its louder and push softer its not as loud, just change brakes last week and still have the noise. any ideas will try. noise is driving us cazy

yes i change the brakes my self , but the noise has been there for awhile, befor the brakes was even touch And ive been doing brakes fo 30 yrs , but maybe i miss something will take any suggestions

Didn't put a pad in there backwards by chance did you?

na he said it was there b4 the brakes were done and this info is helpful br u tell ne one oo I did brakes now there is a noise.

U will need to let some one look at it or u drive and have some one listen for where the noise is coming from no one on earth can tell u whats making a noise over the internet.

Did you re-surface or replace the rotors? Brand new pads on warped, damaged or highly corroded rotors will likely yield the same noise as before.

Mine has done this for years.

The noise I am getting is NOT in the brake system, but rather something in the suspension. The harder you brake, the more the suspension moves, the louder the sounds. Not saying that is what you are hearing, but it's something that could be mistaken for a brake noise.

I'm about to change out the front struts on my Pac, if it goes away, I'll know for sure if that was the problem. If it is, I'll post up and let you know.

im lost lost ive change brakes, and resurface the rotors and still getting noise, i was getting i banging noise at one time and thought it might be a strut but it was a sway arm link so i change it and took care of that noise , but the problem with that ive change it two times in 6 mths and sounds like its going bad again plan to look into struts know any help
