Default New Pacifica Owner.

Just got my first Chrysler vehicle. 2007 Pacifica. It is a white base model. It is a base, but it does have leather seats, heated seats, power seats, 6-CD Changer, etc.

So far, I love the vehicle. It has exceptional comfort for 4 people. 3.8L has plenty of power, although passing power is a little weak. Around town it does fine. Also has a very soft ride.

89, that would be mid-grade? I think the last time I filled it up, (which was the first time, BTW) I put 87 in it. So far, 300 miles on 3/4 of a tank.

I really like it so far. Haven't had it very long, only a week. None of the Pacifica forums are very lively though.

I do have a few plans for my Pacifica though...

-Paint black strip down the door white
-Add chrome strips to grille
-Add chrome front piece
-Add chrome pieces to rear
-Add chrome liscense plate bar on the rear

This is just the list so far. I thought about adding the power rear hatch, but didn't know how hard it would be to wire up.

Looks like you're getting excellent mileage using the 87. The manual says that the best performance will be obtained using 89. Varied opinions here, but I've been seeing the best mileage using 89 in a mix of city and highway. Good luck on your upgrades...

That must be nice getting 300 miles to 3/4 of a tank.

I am getting about 215 miles to a full tank but I get stuck in mucho traffic in the am's!!

My 3.8 Pac got 18.5 last tank on a fill-up of 89 octane. I drive 80 miles round trip on 70mph highways. I do have daily city trips but not a lot of stop and go. Surprisingly, I noticed that I hit 300 right about the 1/4 mark too. Ok new question, has anyone else noticed that the idiot light comes when you have used about 20 gal? I looked this up the other day because I noticed that when I filled her up, the pump shut off at about 19 gal or so. The manual says that the fuel tank holds approx 23gal, so is the 3 gal warning about normal? Just curious...
