Default P0404 keeps going off.

I've had the erg sensor replaced and the code went off again, then took it to Chrysler and had a fule system flush and drove 150 miles and the code is back on. Of course I'm driving on vacation and needing some advice. Any thoughts.

I'm very sorry to hear about this experience. What year is your Pacifica?

P0404-EGR POSITION SENSOR PERFORMANCE

When Monitored:
The PCM performs two diagnostic procedures to test the rationality of the EGR sensor signal: a position rationality test and a zero reference test. The position rationality test is performed continuously when the EGR control circuit is active. The zero reference test is performed when the valve is closed, with the throttle closed and engine RPM below a calibrated threshold, when the PCM is attempting to learn the position of the EGR valve during the closed valve state.

Set Condition:
The PCM monitors the EGR position rationality by subtracting the actual position of the EGR valve from the desired position. If the value exceeds a calibrated value for a calibrated time, the test fails. If the PCM detects that the EGR position zero reference voltage is not within a valid range, the test fails. After two failed trips, a DTC is set and the MIL is illuminated.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
INTERMITTENT DTC
(F856) 5 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE
(K34) EGR SIGNAL CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE
(K900) SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE
(Z335) GROUND CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE
(K35) EGR CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE
EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY
