Ok. that's what I did. I have the code (P0420) cleared by a local mechanic. It has been 5 days and the code has not returned yet. So yeah it might be misfired engine or something like that.

I probably take the car to have ABS checked in next few days.

Hi,
I appreciate the input of a pro here. My 2006 Pacifica has 60,000 miles on it and I guess its catalytic converter is still under federal mandated warranty.

So even if the code comes back within few months, I can still have it replaced under warranty. Is this the correct approach in your opinion or do you think clearing the code can have the potential to cause greater damage?

Thanks.

the check engine light comes on for a reason simply clearing the codes does u nor the car any good. if U knew it was under warranty for the cats why erase it.

Default confused

May be someone can switch the light on for me.
i got the followings code , P0032, P0301, P0420, P1593.
I did already replaced my spark plus and spark plugs wire.
( Town country minivan 3.3l) Th engine still run weird, as if it would be misfiring, ) I plane on looking under to see if the harness has not been damaged like in the other member's car. Are theses codes the consequences of one problem, or do I have so many problems . Also I have a spark plugs not p[roper screwed in, but seems to work , what surprise me is that during acceleration the engine behave perfectly , not misfiring or knocking, so whats the story am confused.
Can someone throw some light into this, I would really appreciate

So I cleared the code and it returned after 2 or 3 months. I took it to the dealer this time and the catalytic converter was replaced under federal warranty. not bad...

i would chech resistents on O2 sensors cold then hot too see if they are good? cats are reliable other sensors causing a rich burn condition is normally why cats go bad/ i would try a good fuel cleaner on a regular PM schedual/ also if cats a bad / car would run poorly or not at all/ go to MOTORKOTE.COM try there fule cleaner really works good hope this helps
