Default Pacifica 4.0 timing belt

Hi I am getting ready to change a timing belt on my Pacifica 4.0.. my question is how do you get the slack out of the belt between the cam gears and pully.. do i need to move the cam gear to mesh it up.. and how do i keep the tension on it while i bolt up the tensioner.. also any advice on removing the tensioner be great.. is there a lot of kick taking it loose don't want any quick movement to make my cams to move.. My first 4.0

Don't need to worry about the cams . Once the damper puller(most bottom one) is off, just remove the tensioner. Not too complicated. Just did my timing belt about 2 months ago on my 05' 3.5L. Don't know how the 4.0L is configured but it was a straight foward job. Try and find a service manual. It helps alot.

The instructions were pretty straight forward except they wanted to remove the front engine mount, which in reality has nothing to do with the timing belt. Also, if need be, look up a video on youtube concerning the timing belt change on a 3.5L V6 Dodge Journey. The process looks the same(3.5L or 4.0L).
