Default Pacifica ABS Pump Module bad?

On my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica, the ABS pump was buzzing, and continued to do so even after the vehicle was turned off...only could get it to stop by pulling the ABS Fusible link in the box under the hood. Brakes still work well, of course all the ABS and traction control warning lights are on now. My local repair guy says that the module in the ABS pump is bad, and that this replacement item needs to be "programmed by a dealer". Any suggestions? Thanks!

As long as the fluid's good you can pull the ABS fuse. You will still have normal base brakes. If you like the ABS you have time to save and get it fixed. You can drive it this way as long as you need to...or indefinately.

Module has to be initialized with a scan tool for trac control, yaw sensor orientation etc. Pump will have to be bled (actuated) with scan tool in addition to the usual brake bleeding

Thanks for the excellent information. I was told the module is inside the ABS Pump, could you tell me if the entire ABS pump will need to be replaced, and is it extremely expensive? Just wondering if I should brace myself for an expensive trip to the dealer!
