Default pacifica lift gate closing problem

i've looked through a lot of the threads and dont see this issue on there, maybe i just didn't search far enough. but today (its cold, so it could just possibly be the cold) my pacifica constantly thinks the lift gate is open, even if slam it shut so i know its shut, it still thinks its open. if i use the button to close the gate it closes but doesn't completely shut, and it pops open a bit then tries to shut again, but doesn't fully latch. you dont here the noise i used to hear that always latched it shut after you closed it.

anyone know whats causing this??

i've had nothing but issues with this car so far so it really wouldn't suprise me that its another big thing again, at 100,000km i've already replaced the computer and the transmisison and i dont see any vehicle needing those things that fast..but nothing i can do about it

Default More details please on your solution

Can you give some details on how you did that, I have a 2005 Pacifica that is doing the exact same problem tonight, where were the wires that you fixed, and how did you do it exactly please
