My wifes 2005 T & C has power slide doors and power lift gate all was great until today, the gate was up and as I was manually closing it she hit the button to power close it. Now it will open fine manually or from the button and remote but if you try to close it by button or remote it will start to close then it will reverse directions and open all the way. Is there a reset for this error or process for reset?

 

take it to the dealer so they can scan the sliding door and liftgate computer for codes and problems

 

Will disconncting the battery clear the error codes as I was the cause of the error code. As the gate was operating properly prior to this event?

 

I would not clear the codes incase it does happen again. The computer keep a record of stuff that happens after 40 drive cycles they will get erased ne way if there is no porb. IF u trash the codes then u will loose any record of what did happen when u do take it in and they may not figure out what is really wrong and replac something that is not needed basicly taking a guess and what does that do to u as a cust makes u mad that u need to take it back in because they did not fix it correctly.
