Smile Please help!

Hello,

2004 Chrysler Pacifica Exhaust Problem.
Engine loud sound, decreased in acceleration and funny smell.

Hey guys, I have a leak in the exhaust system and I want to make sure it's one of the two problems I think I can fix. I am attaching images of where the leak is coming from. I decided to get under the car and add a JB weld around that circle and the result was amazing (no more funny smell, no loud sounds, increased speed and it was just beautiful); however after driving for 5 miles it all melted away and there was an awful bad smell coming in from the JB weld melting, back to square 1.

Anyways, I want to make sure that the area I circled in these images is where the exhaust flange gasket goes or it needs to be welded. I might try J-B Weld Exterme where the temperature capacity is more than 1200. I am not familiar with the exhaust system on a Chrysler and I can't tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so so so much!!!

Veronica
