Rear diff?
Hello, i have a 2005 Pacifica and I'm wondering if anyone has run into issues with the rear differential?
I was going through some tough times and needed tires bad (knowing it's awd and i have to run the same size front to back) so i ended up running wheels off another Pacifica that were smaller diameter but had higher profile tires. They were very close in size to what i had on the car.. less than an inch in height difference.
Figured I'd run it that way until i could afford new tires. Well, turns out, times got tougher and months went by until the rear end started howling over 40mph and becoming almost unbearable at highway speed. Talk about a migraine. If you're going along at a constant speed and let up on the throttle, it will make a noise for just a second that sounds similar to a wheel rubbing the chassis. Gear backlash?
It progressed to where at any speed, it will make noise. It sounds like a wheel bearing but when i lift the rear end off the ground and spin the wheels, it sounds like "loose" gears meshing. I'll grab a video later tonight after work or before work tomorrow.
I pulled one rear knuckle off to inspect and I'm going to pull the other side later. I'm preparing to pull the diff. But i wanted to check in here and see if anyone has knowledge they could share on the subject?
Anything will help.
Please and thank you!

Here are a few clips i took a long while back. One is at highway speed. One is My hand mimicking the throttle to demonstrate the short noise i was referring to. The other is spinning the wheel with the rear end off the ground.
