Default rear wiper replacement install

Can someone please direct me to the proper wiper blade to buy or let me know if there is some secret release buttonto the rear wiper arm (to kick it out and make it perpendicular to the window)? I looked at the one on my GF's '06 Pacifca, went to my local Murray's and bought a Bosch replacement blade that no matter how I fashion the placement of the plastic bracket, will not go on the wiper arm. The angle of the arm won't go any further than about 25 degrees off of the window, and with the new blade and plastic bracket on, there is nowhere for the u-hook of the arm to go through.

Thanks in advance if anyone has a though on this one.....otherwise I will chalk up another reason I tried talking her out of this car!!!

You should just get the OEM blade for $6.95 without shipping or even pick it up at the dealer.

so what you're telling me is that I need to go to the dealer for this blade? WTF? Why is the replacement for this in the Bosch (and some other blade mfr that Murray's carries) catalogue then? What's the use?

I'm not saying that you can't find an aftermarket replacement (not sure) but to insure proper fit it's best to get the OEM, plus it's not that expensive. Did you try to find just the refill blade replacement that you can just slide onto the original blade? They used to make these but I'm not sure if they still do. Check it out. I did some research and found that Bosch does make the correct rear blade for the Pacifica but it seems there are different types depending on if your PAC is FWD or AWD. Here's what I found:

FWD: #798753~P703020089
Fits: 01/2004 - 12/2006 Chrysler Pacifica FWD
Description: Wiper Blade - Micro Edge 13" Rear 2004, 2005, 2006, 04, 05, 06.

AWD: #1571814~P703020089
Fits: 01/2004 - 12/2006 Chrysler Pacifica AWD
Description: Wiper Blade - Micro Edge 13" Rear 2004, 2005, 2006, 04, 05, 06.

Check the part number of the one you bought and compare it to the above.

Hope this helps!

I purchased an aftermarket rear wiper from walmart last week. I agree you can't lift the blade very high and that alonemade it a trickyintall. But after about 20 minutes I was able to getit installed. The postabout a "blade refill" would be the easy way and I will look into that next time.
