Default removing blower motor?

Well I had to crank up the A/C yesterday and man was the blower motor loud. When I had it in recirculate I sounded like a jet taking off, but when I switched off the recirc it quited down immensly. I pulled the Cabin air filter and cleaned it (the was a little bit of debris in there), but what I pulled out didnt make it quieter. Im guessing the may be some stuff stuck in the blower motor. How easy is it to pull the motor and clean it. And any other thoughts on what it may be that is causing it to be so loud. It doesnt sound like wind noise from the vents. The sound originates from the blower motor area.

Thanks again

Bob

Default RE: removing blower motor?

They are not easy to remove, usually takes a couple hours. What I have done is remove the cabin filter, glove box door and then the blower resistor module. With an air chuck blow up into the motor cage and the debris usually comes out through the filter opening, do this a few times til its quiet...Good Luck!
