Hi all,

I have a 2017 Pacifica and 3 young kids. I want to install my Diono car seat forward facing so that it's flush with the middle seat. To do that, I need to remove the headrest, which is attached.

I found this video on how to do it:
I got through most of the steps. However, when I went to pull the headrest out, I found there was a metal ring (almost like a washer) attached to one of the posts, and I can't figure out how to remove it. Any help or suggestions? Has anyone else done this?

This shows the ring at the bottom, lined up with the metal post at the top. I can't remove the headrest without removing this metal ring.
