Slipping trans

2005 chrysler pacifica touring transmission shudders when it tries to shift while driving on highway or around corners at times and when u punch it. Has 175k. Been a great car for 12 years. Trans fluid change at 140k
Going to change fluid n put in full synthetic with Lucas no slip oil. Thoughts. Better to put in rebuilt or get it rebuilt. AAMCO a good option for this or not.

Was the pan off the last change time ? Ours was rebuilt with a very good shop but still had problems later. AAMCO can have a bad rap, but it depends on the shop boss no mater where. Really good AAMCO guy found our problem. Trans controller box up under drivers side wheel well was the problem. First, he worked on it for a while and was able to put pressure gages on it. Soon said "Why is it doing that" since he knew better. His knowledge led him on. Now he has retired from that shop but we will go back again to the same shop before long for service. I'll trust the new boss there until I know different. Hope others will chime in too. B2

You say the oil was changed at 140k on the transmission but was the filter changed at the same time as well?

Does the car make any unusual noises when you rev the engine? Does the engine also seem to lack power while driving up a grade?
