Default Transmission Flash program problem

About 2 months ago I purchased a 2007 Pacifica with the 4.0 engine and 6 speed auto. I noticed a low speed "confusion", for lack of a better term, in the transmission gear selection. I did a little research and found out that Chrysler had a flash upgrade to address this. I asked my dealer about it and they installed the flash. Immediately following the flas, I lost about 20% in fuel economy (from 26 down to 22) and the 2-3 and, sometimes, 3-4 shift became shuddery, grinding and clunky. I mentioned this to the dealer and they tried to make some adjustments. Apparently the programming cannot be reversed. Chrysler has, so far, been no help.

Has anyone else expierenced this problem? If so, what was done to correct it?

Thank you.

The flash resets all of the learned clutch volumes. If they quick learned it, that should usually minimize the time for the controller to relearn BUT since it became worse, you may have some internal issues developing. What is the mileage and when was the last time the transmission was serviced?

TNtech, Mileage is 94,xxx. Last trans service is unknown. I just purchased the vehicle 2 months ago. Mileage at purchase was 89,xxx.

Since purchase, I have been getting between 25-27 mpg. Shifting was smooth except for an occasional low spped confusion. Immediately after the flash, fuel economy dropped to 21-23 mpg and shifting became harsh. There was no "developing". Noyhing makes any logical sense except that the programming has caused the current problem.
Thanks.
