wont come out of park

Default wont come out of park
2005 chrysler pacifica
replaced the shifter and brake light switch still will not come out of park.
any suggestions.

There are two interlocks, one is the click you hear when you put your foot on the brake before moving the shifter and the other is the ignition key interlock which is actuated by a cable. You also may have something stuck in the shifter itself. Can you move the shifter by operating the overide?
