2001 PTC - Frt Wheel Hub Install Problem
I started replacing the rotors on my Aunts PT Cruiser only to find out that the noises she was hearing was the front wheel bearings. They have decentigrated and she is lucky the wheels stayed on the car. The bearings lterally fell apart in my hands and I was able to pull only a portion of the bearings out of the spindle. Due to the heat generated by driving the car in that condition the bearing race is stuck in the spindle.
How do I get the race removed so I can install new hub assemblies.
I really need some help with this issue! Up an unfamiliar creek so to speak!
Thank you for your replies!

R&R Spindle
Thanks for the help!
I'm going with used parts from the wrecking yard. Got both spindles today. bearings feel good and tight.
Assuming it is necessary to compress the strut coil spring before loosening the ball joints and bolts holding the spindle to the strut.
The mcPhrearson strut spring compression tool I have isn't going to work as the screws are too long and they will bottom out in the top of the struct tower before the spring binds enough to take pressure off the lower spring purch.
What type of tool is used on these Chrysler units?
