My 03 pt has been in limp mod and I found out that the alternator was not charging so I took it off and had O'reilly's Duo bench test on. The limp-trio said n/a and the others passed the test and I'm am not getting any awncers from the employee on why it's throwing a n/a but still passing and if the alternator is keeping the car in a limp mode what do I need to fix to get it working right I've never had a car go into limp mode befor

 

an alternator does not put the transmission in limpin mode. the NA from the tests you are getting is because the car has not passed them. When you disconnect a battery they all get erases and need to be re passed for them to show anything. Get a better scanner and see what the codes are in the transmission computer not a code reader from a parts store.
