Default Turbo transmission into non turbo PT and engine swap

I know it will be cheaper to just buy a manual GT (if one could be found). But I have a 2003 GT with an auto trans and is originally from PA. Lots of rust on components and body. My engine only has 70K and has had the timing belt replaced among many other items. I don't want to keep putting money into this due to the rust. I have a chance to buy a manual non turbo PT with no rust, straight body, very clean. With it being a manual already, what else would need to be swapped to make it suitable for a GT engine. I know the GT trans is beefier, but would anything else need to be swapped from a GT (transmission wise). Would the non PT parts be compatible with the GT trans?
