Chrysler PT CruiserOffering a sedan and 2 door convertible, both of which offer a naturally aspirated or turbocharged engine, this car has something to offer everyone
My 2003 PT has a vacuum leak. It looks like there was a hose attached to an elbow on/next to the brake booster which I cannot locate.
I do notice that when I cover the elbow that the engine wants to die. Apparently at some point I had a mouse that chewed the end and possibly dislodged the hose. Here's a picture of the elbow with the chew marks. Any idea as to what to look for and where the hose might attach? Thanks!
The hose will go to the intake manifold near the throttle body towards the back it might have fallen off completely so you will have a vac leak at that intake will make the engine rev high.

Thanks, so I've now identified this as the brake booster check valve. According to what I've read, if it's pulling vacuum, it's working. Now I just have to find the hose.
