Default Parts Interchangability Between Years

Well, I got a note from our attorney today which said Allstate considers the car a total loss. I think the offers they have made are low and I'm inclined to argue with them. They will pay $3354 if I surrender the car and $2419 if I keep it. The car has basically a new front suspension, brakes, and a freshly rebuilt cylinder head. I'm trying to decide which years I should look at for a replacement if I keep the 2001 LE as a parts car. I have found a very nice looking 2003 GT Turbo in my price range and from the research I've done the 2003 doesn't seem to have as bad a reputation as some of the other years. Also, I have never been a big fan of airbags and if the frame isn't tweaked I may entertain the idea of getting a straight front-clip and fixing it minus airbags.

Any thoughts on this?

Regards,

Justin B.
