was it an issue before u took the head off? if not it was caused by incorrect timing.

 

I did as you said and re timed the eng and the 0340 is still there. So you know where I'm coming from, this is it running bad, check it out....odd code # 2 misfire ok, check compression...NONE? well let's isolate (by the way I'm a 35 year jet eng mech) intake or exhaust...I put a plastic glove on the tail pipe and fill the cyl W/ air and it blew the glove off. Alright pull the head...piece of #2 exhaust valve broke off and gone. so when you told me timing was off I took it apart to redo timing and bolt to take off balancer, it would NOT come off with 1/2" gun or breaker bar and local crysler tech said you are screwed so I put long screwdriver down #1 to piston and moved to get tdc and redid the top marks and it runs good but the eng light is still on and 0340 now what?????

 

used a book to see the pics to what the cam gears are suppose to look like timing wise and tdc on the crank gear as well?
