Default PT Cruiser A.C. Evaporator Removal

My wife has a 2005 PT Cruiser. Every week I have to recharge the AC system. We brought it to a reliable mechanic who told us the evaporator was leaking and it would cost $800 to replace it. I know you have to pull the dash out to get to it, but I'm not exactly sure how to get the dash out. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Invest in a Haynes manual for your car. Study the chapter covering removal of the instrument panel to decide whether you want to tackle the job.
