I changed the resevoir and put in synthetic fluid.

Hello, sounds like a dry outer tie rod end, or lower balljoint. There is a easy way to check. Go to your local parts store and get a needle grease adpt. for your grease gun.Stick itinto thegrease boot and pump in some grease. turn it back and forth and the drive it and see if the noise is gone. Noises travalin vech. so its hard to say. Good luck. God Bless!!

You could have a dry boot at the lower steering coupler or a fan belt tensioner that is frozen or even ball joints or tie rod ends. Some how you need to isolate the sound/ noise.

My 2001 T&C Limited does the same thing but it's only in the garage on the smooth concrete, Outside on a rougher surface it's quiet.

Default It only happens when I turn the steering wheel, so

that is why I think it is the steering and not the belt or tensioner.

Could it come from the rack?
