I have a 02 limited T&C with the drivers side heated seat not working. Wife smelled burning the other day and the seat stopped working. I pulled the leather cover off and found a dime size burn mark. I called Chysler to see if there is a recall, They told me not for that year, However i was told they would send the information over to have investigated since i could have been a possible fire. My question is if they do not repaire it for the recall could i solder the broken coil wire or would i have to order the upgrade kit seat coil.

 

If there is an upgrade kit.. I would get that. You are asking for more problems by trying to fixing the old one. I could see trying to fix a line on a rear windshield but not when I am sitting on it

 

solder is solid U need for it to bend or it will just snap again

 

Good point, I will wait and see if Chrysler will do anything. If not i will spent the money and do it right.. Thanks...
