Default 02 TnC Ignition Locked up

My cousins van 02 TnC ignition locked up. It cannot turn what so ever so we cannot remove the old cylinder to replace it. We need a way to get the old one out. We tried everything, different key, graphite, turn and pound nothing works. We have the new cylinder right by me but cannot get the old one out. We tried pushing the small pins in on either side of the cylinder and turning it but nothing worked.

Sorry to be new and blunt, but this is a business vehicle, and 650 to have the local dealership fix it is out of the question. My cousin used to be a mechanic 20 years ago but has not been in the trade since, besides minor repairs on his vehicles until this point.

SO any ideas? And please dont say dormanproducts.com/installationvideos because those are not what we need.

turn the key with one hand and use a hammer to tap on the key end like a nail turn and twist at the same time

We tried that and it did nothing. Should we try it again?

Okay my cousin did that but the damn key broke the tip of it. Now how long does it take for the vehicle to start after using a valet key?

They got it working. They took the old key that was broke just now and taped it to the new key that came with the new ignition, and now it is running without stalling and all the electrical issue that plagued it are gone too.
