Default 05 T&C Sliding door problem

Just purchased a 2005 T&C with a Braun Entervan conversion. The right side sliding door was not working electrically. I read all the posts about the wire harness and found and fixed two bare wires. The door then opened electrically but continued to run after hitting the stop. On examination, I found the Full Open switch and the hold open release cable had been removed. Unable to find a new switch or cable offered anywhere, I bought a whole door from an 06 T&C from a U-pick parts yard. After replacing the switch and the cable, the door now will open electrically but does not respond to the Full Open switch. The motor continues running for a while after the door stops moving. When I try to close the door, it attempts to open again against the stop. If it does happen to try to close, the release doesn't activate so it immediately tries to open again. I have changed everything electrical in the door with no different results and have verified that the switch works as it should. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions as to what else to look for at this point. Thanks in advance if you can help.

Default Edit to original thread.

Having seen references to resetting BCM's, I did a little more research and will be trying a hard reset tomorrow. Will post results .

Went out last Saturday morning to take the car to the shop I use to try the BCM Reset thing. Didn't even make it to the car before I stepped onto a patch of ice I didn't see and was instantly flat on my back and slammed my head into the concrete. Took an hour to get the bleeding stopped and the ringing out of my head before I could try again.
Got to the shop and got set up for the reset, then decided to pull the ramp so I could work on the inside of the sliding door. Propped the ramp up unfolded next to a bunch of stuff stored about 2 ft from the side of the van. About an hour later I walked through that are as and happened to graze the bottom of the ramp with my foot. It slid down across in front of me taking my feet out from under me and crashing me to the ground again. Smashed my lower back down on top of a small compressor sitting there and cr a mmed my left knee up under the side of the van. I managed to recover enough to get things back together enough to drive home but haven't been able to walk since without a walker and a lot of pain. 5 hrs on Sunday at the ER getting 2 CAT scans and several xrays to be told there's no broken bones or concussion. The only way to see torn cartilage or muscle is with MRI which I can't do because of metal plates in my head. The knee is still to painful to walk on, so I'm wondering what else is wrong in there. Probably won't be back working on the car for a while.

Us Old Timers shouldn't be let out of the house, we're not safe on our own. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
