Replace the unit. Probably is the easiest fix, i have just changed my passenger side for a similar reason. The dealer quoted me £450 fitted. Ilooked Charlton Auto spares up in the yellow pages and picked one up for £100. They delivered via TNT for £10. It was a my house in Yorkshire within 24 hours. They only take 10 mins to fit.

NB I did try to repair my old one, but its a sealed unit, Theres no point wasting your time.

Sorry to bank on about RockAuto - but they are listing power mirrors for just under $60 plus delivery.

Yep, me too - it was still worth getting the parts shipped over, even with shipping charges - and the 48 hour delivery was to the UK. As an example, I may need a new rear wiper motor (still got to check this out fully) - I've found a second hand motor on ebay for £100 - for a fair bit less than this, I can get a new one sent over from the states - no brainer which to go for.
