I have been experiencing sudden engine stops during the last few months, they seemed very random, while driving on motorway, while parking the car, etc. Yesterday when I started the car and put it in "D" the engine died. As soon as I put it into any gear the engine dies, but it runs ok in neutral.

Any suggestions? Diagnostic shows no problems..

 

I had issues with random stalling, but were soon sorted after changing the fuel filter.
Do you know when yours was last changed?

 

The fuel filter was changed about 8000km ago.

 

Looks like I found what the problem is: rusty gearbox lever. After WD-40 shower the car is working almost flawless..
