Default 2000 Grand Caravan Sport 3.3 auto tranny issue.....

Recently my 'engine' light came on. Buddy of mine OB2'd it and its the transmission. I didnt catch the code, but he reset it. Here is the deal. From park it goes into reverse no problem. Back out of the drive and slow to stop, put in drive. Nothing for 5-10 seconds, then 'thud' and it starts moving. Then going down the road, as i slow to a stop sign, it feels a little 'funny', and does the same thing when starting forward again....mind you, most of the time it is when engine/trans is cold. The light has come on and off again twice in the last 3 days. When its on, it seems it wont get into "overdrive". Usually at 70-75 mph i am at about 2500 rpms...whe light on, its closer to 2700-2800 rpms.... I checked the fluid levels and fluid is full and discolored and has no unusual 'cooked' smell...is this a relay/solenoid/pressure switch problem, or is my tranny cooked?

No matter what the issue, run half a bottle of auto-rx through it. Made my hard shifting 2003 T&C trans shift like a brand new one. It's amazing stuff. It won't fix physical problems, but sometimes the issue is just deposits on the bands and other components and this stuff cleans it. For the price it's definitely worth trying before a rebuild.
