Default 2001 Town and Country Radio Problems

Can someone please help me with this problem? My 2001 T&C radio turns on and will play (along with the CD player and tape player). If I change the volume then the radio will blare at full volume and then i have to turn it off to stop it from blaring. If I turn off the car and restart the radio will run normally - and sometimes it just goes at a low volume and if I turn it up a little it blares again. I noticed some static/muddled audio just before this started happening. Does anyone know what is wrong with my radio?

Many thanks!

Unhappy

This isn't really a reply, more of a similar problem. After working on the heater/ac control unit, the cd changer in my 2001 Chrysler T & C will not work, but the radio works just as it always has with an intermittent problem during volume adjustment. When I turn on the ignition, the cd player makes a whirring noise for about a minute and then just flashes the discs 1 & 2 lights alternately with the discs 3 & 4 lights. Where do I start in trying to solve this problem?
