There were no bulbs for reverse and when I put them in they came on immediately. So previous owner must have removed them. So it means reverse lights would be permanently on. What would cause this
Removed wheel and I couldnt see the switch. Am now able do some of the jobs that involve bending down due to better weather and new meds for illness |
Darkcild switch is 1 o'clock on end of gearbox viewed nearside front wheel well. Needs 24mm tube wrench to get on it due to access. Socket or ring spanner won't do.

Checked mine to day and got one ordered after checking its operation. From picture of switch the ball on its end which goes into gearbox is obviously pressed inwards by gear selector inside box. This inward operation must operate switch to route power to rear lights.
Oh and by the way no box socket required to remove switch. Just fit ordinary 24mm socket onto switch then ratchet. Ratchet square doesn't fully lockon but catches enough as per picture |

No wonder i couldnt see it i was looking for the wrong thing Am i correct in saying its on front passenger side |
Yes front passenger side if you are RHD. Or left side if you are sitting in a RHD or LHD in the drivers seat looking out. Must find out if these LED reversing bulbs are stronger.
