I have an 02 T&C LXI a couple weeks ago the transmission suddenly downshifted to 2nd gear and now will not shift out of 2nd gear.
I scanned it and got a P0700 and after testing a few things I found there is no power to the load side of the relay. I was told to replace the TCM which I did with a re-manufactured one from the net, I gave them the VIN and the mileage to get it set up. After clearing the computer and doing the install of the new PCM I took it for a ride and it coded up right away now this time I still have a p0700 from the engine I also have a P1768 from the A/T and still no power to the load side of the realy.
Questions:
1. Is the relay before or after the TCM on the power line?
2. Would taking it to a dealer and having the TCM flashed turn on the relay?
I dont wanna take it to a dealer for $120.00 and void the warranty if this is the problem and I can send this one back and have them redo the software
3 Would it be worth it to try a used fuse box? I heard these can go too..
