I have a 2003 T&C 3.3 with auto transmission(OD). Last Thursday it ran great, Friday morning left to go to the store and it wouldn't upshift. Speedometer/odometer work fine.
Put my code reader on it and got P0725 and P0700. After checking other forums/answers online, I replaced the Vehicle Speed Input Sensor on the trans. This did not fix the problem.
Do I need to take it to a garage/dealer or is there something else I can do? Does it sound like it will be an expensive repair?

If you've done the input sensors and that didn't work then usually that means it's probably the output sensor as it causes the same problems and codes. As a rule of thumb I always chnage both.

Also, that bunch of cables which run to the trans module on the front of the transmission. Check to make sure they're not flopping around, I've recently had a friends 2000 Grand Caravan have the same problem remain after fitting both input and output sensors. I zip-tied it to the lower rad hose and it worked fine for over a month now.

 

If you change the sensors still doesn't work, I think it is better to take it to a repair shop. Hope everything will be fine with you: )
